There is.
But churches & parents who exact religious abuse (infecting their
kiddies with the disease of religion) are functionally exempt from
child abuse laws.

If they deliberately infected them with say, Cholera, they'd be
prosecuted.
But infect them with a far more dangerous disease, and they get
SUP****T, in the form of general community approval, and subsidies from
the government in the form of automatic tax deductions!
Hell, they are even allowed to mutilate their infant male's genitals
and escape prosecution for this heinous crime.
It is insane that religion is used as an excuse for actions that would
be clear-cut federal crimes in any other cir***stance!
