Then it is clear that your mental model of other peoples'
minds needs work, since it is a very common occurrence. If
you are amazed, it is only because you do not appreciate the
range of operating modes for the primate mind. Logic is a
rather modern human invention, like mathematics, its cousin,
and neither is at all popularly accepted. If they were,
there would be no religions or lotteries. Logic and
mathematics are still geek pursuits.
