Surely you have to appreciate, though, that the world has only the
assertions of those atheists that this is the case?  The claim cannot
be tested, because it's unlikely that we could get everyone on both
sides to stop railing at each other long enough to see who starts it
off again.  As I've said, it's like the Middle East: no-one really
knows who started it any more; and no-one really cares.  They all have
all the excuse they need to do what they really, deeply want to do:
which is to kill each other.

So while atheists claim the moral high ground on the basis that
they're only 'reacting' to what the evil theists do, the claim is
based only on the atheists' own assertions.

Personally, I see enough militant atheist zealots having their say in
these groups to see that they relish the confrontations just as much
as do their religious counterparts.
