The letter F in our alphabet is a very simple figure, but it represents a
complex idea. F is the symbol of fate. How does someone illustrate a
concept
like fate? How does someone illustrate a concept like truth? How does
someone illustrate a concept like wisdom? These are some of the challenges
that faced the ancient scribes of the Thoth school. Illustrating the
letter
F was a real challenge to my limited skills as an illustrator. Check it
out.
Egyptian art wasn't just a lot of pretty pictures and decorations. Those
were illustrations that attempted to transmit the history and culture of a
whole civilization in pictures instead of words, much as documentary film
makers do now. Scribes of the Thoth school were the documentary film
makers
of their day (and much more).
Of course, scribes of the modern day have dismissed it all as ignorant
superstition, childish fiction, and poor quality rote art. Obviously,
anybody who has read everything there is to be read about Egypt, must know
everything about Egypt. If they don't see something, it doesn't exist. If
they don't understand something it must be meaningless. Western culture is
Biblical culture. Biblical culture assumes unto itself the mantle of
superiority to all other cultures. What arrogance!
Resurrect Isis. Abandon the Biblical God of greed and war. Return to the
way
of the Earth Mother.
