Yes... and that said, the first thing I could not help wondering about
was the incredible raw power of the facilities. I mean, the basic use
of an antenna is to send EM signals and one simply has to admit that
the power available says it's not merely about radio communication.

and I ended up being told about it by the most unexpected source.

I don't remember what you mean by ANWR, but I was repeatedly
told about some SG type stuff in the Caucasus, so, to me, this
makes me consider seriously the other things that you mention.
