The Zionist movement was first started by Jews who recognized that
they were hated and pogrommed wherever they went, so maybe it would be
a good idea to go somewhere by themselves so they wouldn't get
pogrommed any more.

Eventually this came to fruition, for better or worse, in the
establishment of the state of Israel.

That's ALL Zionism is or ever was.

It's kind of ironic that the word is now used by conspiracy nuts to
refer to some secret, shadowy Jewish Cabal ... exactly the kind of
imagined secret, shadowy Jewish Cabal that anti-semitic conspiracy
nuts through the ages have used as an excuse to go on pogroms against
the Jews.

That's not to say that I think Israel have been in the right in all
cases in the ongoing struggle against Palestine.  In fact, in all
honesty, I think the Palestinians are, ultimately, in the right in
demanding their home land back.

But "Zionism", the way you are using it, was invented by nutcases and
is just another word for "International Secret Jewish Conspiracy".

You tell me;  what exactly do you think "Zionism" means?
