Clement of Alexandria: _Extracts from the Work of Theodotus_

English text of the Greek-English version of the
Excerpta Ex Theodoto prepared by the late Robert
Pierce Casey. It was published in 1934 as No. 1 in
the Studies and Documents series, under the
Editorship of Kirsopp and Silva Lake. American
copyright was not renewed in the 1960¹s and it
appears to be now out of USA copyright.
It is a collection of notes made by Clement of
Alexandria mainly dealing with the teachings of the
Valentinian Theodotus, but also covering other
Valentinian and orthodox speculations.
It has not previously been available online. The
online text called ŒExtracts from Theodotus¹ is a
quite separate work by Clement of Alexandria, more
accurately known as ŒSelections from the Prophetic
Scriptures¹ or ŒProphetic Eclogues¹.
