And that Christ has returned from heaven to set up God's kingdom can be
seen
to be a blatant lie as he promised the nations would be ruled with a "Rod
of
iron" by the saints once his kingdom is established on the earth.
Swords will be turned into ploughshares and "Nations shall not lift up
sword
against nation, neither shall they learn war any more." And when was this
to
occur?
"2 And it shall come to pass in the end of days, that the mountain of
Jehovah's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and
shall
be lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow unto it. 3
And
many peoples shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of
Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his
ways,
and we will walk in his paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and
Jehovah's word from Jerusalem. 4 And he shall judge among the nations, and
shall reprove many peoples; and they shall forge their swords into
ploughshares, and their spears into pruning-knives: nation shall not lift
up
sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more." Isaiah 2:1-4
(Darby)
Today the complete opposite is true, the nations are in war turmoil, armed
to the teeth, for Christ and the saints are not yet reigning over the
nations, for he has stated they are to be broken into ****vers and will
submit to his iron rule over them.
This as we see in living reality has simply not yet occurred.
As to Jesus returning in AD 70 etc, just look at his prophesy.
"14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for
a
witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." Matt 24:14 (KJV)
No-way was the gospel preached to ALL nations of the world by AD 70.
