Must be a reason the Coates Engine has not been scripted into the
global warming hoopla. Gore knows about it. I would like to see Ducati
produce a racing cycle with the Coates Valves. It has fewer moving
parts, burns less oil because the head doesn't need oil, and can burn
any fuel you put into it -attention on the word fuel- because of its
high compression. High rpms means high speeds at a comfortable 14K
rips.

Time to time I wonder if the spherical valves could be made of ceramic
similar to the precision bearings being made for electric motors and
bicycles and the head too. Ceramic can take high heat and with the
quieter valves providing less vibration I am wondering if Coates could
get even higher rpms. Ceramic pistons?
