Have you ever tried contemplation? It's not as difficult, because, while
Buddhist monks are trained in a more passive nature of being,
contemplation
often works well with those raised in the more active Western cultures.
During contemplative techniques, or spiritual exercises as they are
referred
to in Eckankar, the attention is focused on a specific, purposeful
activity.
Here http://www.eckankar.org/spex.html
you can see how to get a book
containing 131 different ones to try.
You can also visit any Eckankar Center
http://www.eckankar.org/ekcenters.html#reglinks
to try these exercises with a group.
Check out these videos.
