I gather that Paul Twitchell wrote about this subject, and
according to the knowledge he acquired (not that Paul was
the only person to have acquired knowledge, or then chose
to share [give out] what he first took in).

One of his quotes from Letters to Gail (July 10, 1963) read:

".... The realm of knowledge seems unlimited in its wide, vast
depths of data on this plane alone, but even so it has a limitation
because all it is doing is a repeat of the original, and alter-ising
the appearance of what it might be. The changing, or adding to
the piece of original data is called alter-ising, as you remember
in the letter on the Four Conditions of Life!"

*********

To some extent I relate to the subjectivity of history. At the
same time I like to contemplate the reality of records on the
Casual and Soul Planes.

It would be my guess that a person could look at history, or
the "original", via Soul Travel. Both from the Casual level and
the Soul Level, but not totally remember it consciously. Never-
the-less, the information and the experience, IMO, could have
its effect with the physical body.

Though I don't remember where the quote is, Paul Twitchell
in one of his writings talked about Soul Travel & how a person
might not remember it after coming back to the physical state
of consciousness. Intuition might have figured into the picture
as well.

That was a somewhat unusual read, as I had the idea that
Soul Travel was always a conscious experience. But maybe
Paul was explaining Soul Travel from a particular perspective.
I also remember another place where it appeared to say one
does not "travel" on the Soul Plane, but "travel" applies to the
lower planes only.

At any rate, I'm attempting to add more insight about this
subject of history. For example, a person who wants to see
the "original" of history according to records on the Causal,
or even the Soul Plane, I imagine that their inner travels can
reflect that desire by taking them to areas where the inform-
ation is stored. And if one doesn't recall everything that took
place there, does it mean a person hasn't absorbed any of it?

I know that many times when I want information on a part
of history, or a subject in general, it will come if I hold to the
desire long enough and imagine "as if" that were actually
possible. Sometimes answers appear to come by way of a
book, a televison program, or through the words of another.
But how does a person know what corresponds to the truth?
I think a part of the answer comes by looking at the "original"
on the "inner" planes and later recognizing a corresponding
facet of the "original data" in the records of history (knowledge)
on the physical plane.

A "dream" can contain a lot of information, but what good
can it do in a person's physical life if they can't remember it?
But this is where "correspondence" and "analogy" come
into play, IMO. Like when something in the physical reminds
you about a single piece of a forgotten dream, and from that
single piece the awareness of what was "forgot" can start to
unfold.

On the history timeline I keep, one of the things I did was
to try and store just enough information from each century,
decade or year to bring back the memory of other events in
that time period. Songs are a good example, IMO. Listing
the year when a particular song first came out and started
playing on the radio.

There was something about music, and knowledge that
a person takes in at the same time when listening to music.
I think it was said that college students studying for exams
did better on tests if they listened to music while studying -
and then played back the same music when taking the test.
Somehow the information was easier to recall when accom-
panied by the music.

The higher self, or Soul, I would say, is a higher state of
conscious compared with the limited physical senses. The
awareness available to Soul might not be the same that is
present in the physical everyday life. However, by singing
certain mantras, listening to music, reading certain books
and even watching TV and other people talk, I believe that
the awareness of Soul can - under certain cir***stances -
"come through" to the physical much more easily.

Again, I suspect that "correspondences" and "analogy"
can serve like fundamental components in the process of
"remembering" experiences from one plane to another.
The mind itself - recording things symbolically - seems to
indicate a similar process at work. In other words, things
from one plane (or state of consciousness) interpreted by
the senses of another "lower" one. Finding out meanings
and decoding the symbols can serve to reconstitute the
"original data" to some extent, IMO. This is why I like to
look at history, and the history of words. To understand
better the "original" meaning behind what appears to me
like in the form of "symbols".
