Paganism would sure be the proper religious path for those into bowing,
scraping and supplicating.
Sorta like self medicating. Rather than alcohol or drugs, one could get
high
on fantasy.
One could abandon the "one true god" of the "chosen few" of the "holy
land"
for a myriad of freaky gods and goddesses.
