truth and reconciliation

The Canadian government finally appointed a chair for its Truth and
Reconciliation Committee ( Board ? ).  He's a judge who is also a
Native/First Nations.  About time the gov did this as they'd been
delaying.
This will be to reveal all the rotton things the that putting/forcing
Canadian Indians/natives/aboriginals into residential schools did.
Given that the schools were in comparatively remote areas, many
Canadians are quite ignorant as to what happened.


I mention this as a follow up to Ruiseart's mention of the gov of 
Australia's apology to its aboriginals.  And also, though it's not
a Celtic or Druidic topic, some have been interested various primary 
cultures facing engulfment by a larger 'civilization' as a
comparison to the Celts facing the Romans and Christians.
