I signed in here because of the ongoing 'Con Connor' debate. Before I
continue I wish to make it clear that I am not Michael McGrath, nor am
I acting on his behalf. I am aware of McGrath's activities and I do
have an extremely low opinion of that man.
But my opinion about Con Connor is even lower. Con Connor is not a
Druid, not even a Pagan, but a nasty little conman who employs similar
tactics as the Scientologists use to bully people into paying out
money for his fake "druid courses". Most of his victims are gullible
Americans under the illusion of having obtained a genuine article,
linked to Irish history and folklore.. But nothing could be further
from the truth, and in fact these people became the victims of one of
the most sinister characters ever to emerge in spiritual Irish
circles.
Up to very recently Con Connor used to live here in the Tallaght,
Dublin, area. But he has relocated himself to either Co. Roscommon or
Offaly. Among other things, Con Connor is well-known for his outright
nastyness towards children. When the kids played football on the road
and their ball landed by accident in his front garden, he refused to
return the balls to the kids, and sometimes even punctured the balls
with his knife in broad view of everybody. Connor is a man generally
disliked in the entire area. Since Tallaght is a suburb of Dublin
with many social problem, people out here, in particular the
youngsters, can at times get very short tempered. Because of the abuse
they suffered from Con Connor, they frequently used to damage his
cars. If my memory serves me right, then one of his cars was set on
fire a few years ago. But Con Connor deserved the treatment he got.
And the constant problems he had with his neighbours may have been the
reason for him moving away from Tallaght. I pitty the people down the
country where he lives now.
Con's daughter, Jessica, is only in her mid-twenties, about the same
age as Con's current girl friend. But she is as evil and nasty already
as her dad is. I read somewhere that Con and Jessica took control of
the save Tara campaign. If that's a fact, then I am not surprised that
the campaigners are losing that battle. I wouldn't be surprised if Con
and Jessica Connor have been paid by Meath County Council or the Irish
police to deliberately hijack and destroy the Tara campaign.
That's just my 2 cents I wish to add to the ongoing 'Con Connor
debate'. I am not somebody famous, or a spokesperson for Druids or
such. I am only a local man here from Tallaght who knew Con Connor as
a neighbour. And I have a slight interest in Irish Paganism, and
therefore am able to judge his true character. Stay clear of McGrath,
but avoid Con Connor like the plague is my advice to everyone.
