God gave the Holy Scriptures to us in a form that gave no one or no
society an advantage by reason of their cultural/educational position.
Those very early people could read or listen to their Rabbi read the
scrolls to them and with nothing more than a simplistic literal
interpretation, they were able to gain all the insights they needed.
We modern, educated people can read the many available translations of
the Bible, compare the scriptures to our scientific knowledge, and
gain all the insights we need. God was fair to each of us, and He gave
no one an advantage over others.  Gordon
