Salvation is all by grace
and not at all by works.
No matter how little,
any trust in works
is an effort to earn
salvation by works.
So to be saved,
place no trust
in your efforts at all.
Where then is your trust to be?
In Jesus Christ who on the cross
became our righteous substitute
so that Christ not us
is our righteousness for salvation.
When you place all your faith
in him alone to be your salvation,
he forever becomes your eternal life.
Then because you have been saved,
Christ is the life in you,
and you walk in him in love.
