Bad example. A painting exists, but I know how it came to be. I've
seen paint in the stores, I've dated women who painted, and I've seen
paintings from the past that have outlived their "creators".. It is
not a stretch of the imagination to know a painting must have an
artist behind it.
The world, OTOH, has no need to be "painted". Natural processes
explain how it came to exist, and why it is the way it is. We can even
see planets forming elswhere in the universe by these very same
processes, with no one needed to "create" them.

Your question is ill-founded and is meant to appeal to emotion. The
emotion we all feel for this planet. And why do we feel this way?
Because we evolved within it. To remark upon how "perfect" our planet
is for life would be like the water in a mud puddle being astonished
that the hole in the ground is the *exact* same shape it is. If the
world were different, we would be too. Or we just wouldn't exist to
ask the question in the first place.
