Eternal Security: What Do You Say????

by removethehaze <airskypony@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jul 8, 2007 at 01:59 PM

I totally believe in eternal security. I am living proof that you can
walk away from God; fill your life and heart with some of man's most
vilest sins; curse God for letting you down and taking away your
family; and be lovingly led, by the Father, back into the fold.

I stand on Revelations 21:27 - "But nothing that defiles or profanes
or is [d]unwashed shall ever enter it, nor anyone who commits
abominations (unclean, detestable, morally repugnant things) or
practices falsehood, but only those whose names are recorded in the
Lamb's Book of Life. the Ampified Bible."

Once we are saved, we are washed clean in the blood of Jesus (1 John
1:7 - But if we [really] are living and walking in the Light, as He
[Himself] is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellow****p with
one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses (removes)
us from all sin and guilt [keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms
and manifestations] the Amplified Bible). It is His blood that removes
all sins from the saved as far as the East is from the West, and God
does forget our sins. Our name is than written in the Lamb's book of
life (Revelation 21:27 - But nothing that defiles or profanes or is
unwashed shall ever enter it, nor anyone who commits abominations
(unclean, detestable, morally repugnant things) or practices
falsehood, but only those whose names are recorded in the Lamb's Book
of Life. the Amplified Bible), and, at least in my personal belief
system, I firmly believe that God does not possess, or have available
to Him, an "eraser" or a bottle of "white-out.".

The first part of this verse is speaking about man's in general and
what it is that separates him from God. The last ****tion of this verse
soundly speaks to the eternal security of believers.

Still, what does God do with people like me, who were saved, serving
Him in the ministry, and fall away, curse Him, and join their self to
the flesh of prostitutes?

For many years I believed you could lose your salvation, and I did
everything possible to place an uncrossable chasm between God and me,
but, than one day, God led me home (like the Prodigal Son) and I
didn't have to be born-again again. God's love lovingly welcomed me
back into the family I left, and I now believe we can't lose our
salvation (see www.removethehaze.com for Pastor Zimmer's book:
Prodigal Daze).

In my book Prodigal Daze, I deal candidly with my fall from grace, and
the blessed event that brought me back to the Father's loving arms.

I am saved, never to worry again about the need to be born-again
again!

I do know enough about scripture (Romans 14:10 - Why do you criticize
and pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you look down upon
or despise your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment
seat of God) to know that I will face a stiff time at the judgment
seat of God. The judgment seat that reviews the life's of believers,
and appropriately rewards believers for what theyDID or DID NOT do for
Christ when they had earth's air flowing freely through their lungs. I
must candidly admit that I have more to be ashamed of than I do to be
proud of when it comes to my life and the impending judgment I will
face.

So...what say you about eternal security?

Selah, Shalom,

Pastor Paul
