Dan 9:26 "Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off
and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will
destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a
flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are
determined.

Dan 9:27 "And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week,
but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and
grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who
makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is
decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate."

V27 =93And he=94 =96 he being the pronoun referencing the previous noun
=93t=
he
prince who is to come=94. Please note that neither =93he=94 nor
=93prince=94=
 is
upper case so neither one is referring to the Messiah.

After the =93sixty-two weeks=94 when the Messiah is cut off, the subject
****fts to =93the prince who is to come=94. Can you explain with scripture
how can anything in v27 possibly relate to the Messiah, the =93pope(s),
the Vatican, the office or the big daddy=94?

V26 =93and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city
and the sanctuary=94=85. This, I believe, further reinforces the subject
to be =93the prince=94, not the Messiah. Unless one wishes to believe
Jesus and the Jews were the ones who destroyed the =93city and the
sanctuary=94. Is this your belief?

V27 =93And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week=85=94
This is still talking of the prince to come=94 (previous noun, little h)
and, who =93will make a firm covenant with the many=94 (the Jews) =93for
one=

week=94.

Why would the Messiah (as you claim) make a covenant with the Jews for
only =93one week=94 (seven years) and then in the =93middle of the week
put
a stop to sacrifice and grain offering=94? Doe this make any logical
sense? I don=92t think so. Can you show anywhere in scripture were it
says that Jesus made a covenant with anyone for =93seven years=94?

I believe Matt 24:15 makes it pretty clear who the subject is here.

Matt 24:15 Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which
was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place
(let the reader understand),

V15 is Jesus talking. Do you really think Jesus would be describing
Himself as the =93ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION=94? Jesus was not on earth in
70 AD so how could He be standing in =93the holy place=94? May I suggest
you read your quotes below before answering this question?

Below are some of your quotes on this subject, do you honestly think
they adhere to scripture? They sure seem to me to be in conflict with
Daniel and Jesus.

=93=94It was Jesus that Was making that covenant with the many. read the
Gospels. The stop to the daily sacrifice was when Jesus died on the
Cross and the veil in the temple was torn from top to bottom and every
one could see right into the "Holy of Holys" place in the
santuary.""

Read Daniel 9:27, he says it was the =93prince=94(little p). What
scripture are you using that says the daily sacrifice was stopped when
Jesus died on the cross? What evidence do you have that this function
did not occur in the temple from Jesus=92 crucifixion until it was
destroyed?

""I do not know what Bible you are reading but in the Dan 9 prophecy
in the last week of the prophecy it is talking about the ministry of
Jesus for His 7 years walk with man. It was the Messiah that Daniel
was hoping for all his life.""

Do you have any scripture that sup****ts the above statement?

""The *Prince* (Messiah) would be the one putting an end to the daily
sacrifice.=94=94

What Bible do you use that makes that assertion?

Can you provide any scripture sup****ting the above statement? I=92m
assuming you consider yourself to be one of the =93wise=94, is this a
valid assumption?

How about these?

Rom 1:22 Professing to be WISE, they became fools,

Rom 12:16 Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in
mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be WISE in your own
estimation.

1 Cor 1:19 For it is written, " I WILL DESTROY THE WISDOM OF THE WISE,
AND THE CLEVERNESS OF THE CLEVER I WILL SET ASIDE."

1 Cor 1:27 but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame
the WISE, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the
things which are strong,

1 Cor 3:20 and again, "THE LORD KNOWS THE REASONINGS of the WISE, THAT
THEY ARE USELESS."

I fully agree with the above statement.

I suggest that you read Daniel 9:24-27 very closely and then ask
yourself if you have added to, subtracted from or changed any meaning
of the verses as they are written.

No it is not, just as long as it is sup****ted by scripture.

Born once, die twice, born twice, die once.
