Macedonia and Kosovo: Ongoing crisis production
***************************************
San Marino is the 40th UN member (out of 192) to recognize Kosovo's
unilateral secession in contravention of UN Security Council Resoution
1244 and a series of other international laws and conventions.
More im****tant countries think differently. Russia, China and India have
just called for the resumption of talks between Belgrade and Pristina on
the status of Kosovo.
After Kosovo's independence we have seen Tibet blow up and increased
tension in Georgia concerning Abkhazia and South Ossetia. It remains to
be seen whether Kosovo will remain the unique case and the unique
stabilizer in the region.
But if NATO and EU members should be principled and "humanitarian" and
treat these cases like Kosovo, it is now time to bomb both Beijing and
Tblisi and set up combined missions made up of the UN, the EU, OSCE and
NATO to create peace and save human lives...
Other articles in this dispatch deal with the international
'community's' - also unique - blackmail and arms twisting of Macedonia
- a country that has suffered more than most from that community's
conflict mismanagement.
Western circles seem to be of the conviction that democracy for the new
states has nothing to do with having choice. It's about accepting offers
you are told by democracies that you can't refuse.

Since 1991 TFF has profiled itself as a leading analytical think tank
concerning former Yugoslavia. Independence, on-the-ground experience and
knowledge prevents our Associates from being politically correct and
tacitly accept the ongoing peace-prevention by the international
'community' in this region.
