The entire Bible looks forward to a colossal time of God, to which all the
struggle, need, and suffering of the present time are as nothing. But as I
often have said, what is completely new and unbiblical is the idea, “It
will soon be all over with me; I will shortly be dead!” No prophet or
apostle ever thought that way; rather, they dwelt upon the idea, “Until
our
God comes! Until there comes that great time for us!”...
