November 4
Whoever loves the Lord Jesus and seeks to
know him will find that strength is given to do
this. I believe we can bring this about. Let each
one of us seek in quietness to allow love to rule
completely and to thrust aside those outward
hesitations that are in our hearts! Let us try to
keep the chief aim in mind: that is, that which
Christ represents in the world, what he wants,
and how he calls people to him, wanting them
to have fellowship with others so that the name
of God may be glorified!
If only one person stands firm, others will gather
around. A radiance will emanate from the
apostolic fellowship that becomes stronger as
the Lord Jesus becomes more real, as the
world and outer things are more and more
surrendered, and as we focus on the heavenly,
spiritual nature of the kingdom of God. Then we
shall be able to speak of one body, one spirit,
and one hope of our calling.
