Jesus said, “I am the light of the world.” That is true; nevertheless, it
remains night as long as men are unaware of the fact and as long as Jesus
is not known universally. We are in the night. That people have believed
it
to be day simply because Jesus was born, died, and rose again is the
greatest error of Christendom. With that error we have been in the darkest
night for nineteen hundred years, thinking that everything was complete
and
good.
But we must undertake great exertions if we are to be apostles of Jesus
Christ. Our dead world must first be given light. Then it will be day. All
people, all consciousness in heaven, on earth, and under the earth must
know that Jesus bears all things and that he, as the glory of the
sovereign
God, as Son, rules the things of this world. Then it will be day; and then
redemption will rush over all heights and into all depths.
