You must become a simple child who, believing
in Jesus, puts his hope in the kingdom of God--
one who never gives up believing that God will
direct you to the good. Be a witness to the
unseen God who sends his powers so that
your inner person--your own disturbed, confused
personality--is restored to order.
Bear witness to the great God and you will see
how people will gather around you. And then,
when you experience this and hear how the
people lament, and when you yourself feel
incalculable pain, then witness to God all the
more. Do not let your faith, love, patience, and
humility depend on what is going on around you!
Become dependent on the mighty, vast powers
which stream forth from the living God. And if
even more time is needed for all this to develop,
stand firm and go forward in the strength of God.
For then you will overcome the world.
