October 30 "See, the Sovereign Lord comes with power, and his arm rules for him. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him." Isaiah 40:10 We certainly need the powerful arm of the Lord in these times! In spite of all the tumults in the world, in spite of all the warfare among the various nations, his strong arm shall overcome! For all the work of our many arms does not make much difference. The situation does not change, and there is no foreseeable end to the need in the world. But we need to keep God's coming victory uppermost in our minds. And his victory is certain; the strength of his arm will ensure the coming of peace. The Lord will rule, and he will continue to rule until we see the final victory that will announce his kingdom. We should not lose courage even when we make mistakes; we have only to gaze upon the works of our God and Father.
