October 26 When Jesus speaks it is always a social matter, a matter for humanity. What Jesus did was to found the cause of God on earth, in order to establish a new society that eventually is to include all nations. This is in contrast to the societies we have made, in which even families cannot survive, where fathers do not know how to care for their children, where friend****ps are formed and torn apart--in short, where everyone lives in heartache. Faced with this wretched social order, Jesus wants to build a new one. His word to us is this: "You belong to God and not to these manmade societies."
