Although Christ spoke only of human matters, what he said was not at all
acceptable to the earthly authorities. What he said was natural enough,
yet it was much more. His teaching was not against human nature, but it
did bring something of the divine into human affairs, something heavenly
into the natural world. Indeed, it was as if earth would become
paradise. People ate bread in the wilderness, where there had been none,
and in place of sickness, health was given. Even those who had died were
given new life. Joy came in all its fullness where there had been
suffering and mourning.
The Kingdom is at Hand!
