September 17 It appears to me that one mistake missionaries have made from the very start is to act like professors addressing students. We should approach things differently. First it is a matter of finding the right way of the Savior, approaching each person we meet without criticism, radiating divine love, teaching only by living an example of this love. Only in this way can one be a servant of Christ and draw hearts to him. It will cost time and much patient prayer until Jesus, the Risen One, can open doors. Christoph Friedrich Blumhardt, from Christ in the World, Letters to China No. 5, February 1899. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- A PRAYER FOR TODAY Blumhardt's prayer for today and every day of the year. http://blumhardts.com/bl/DailyPrayer.htm?source=Breakfast Like what you read today?
