I didn't mean to "nail you". You should know by now that when people
use incorrect words/grammar, I will comment, depending on my mood. And
I would call the above correction a polite one. In America, among the
less educated, (not meaning you) substituting "then" for "than" is a
common mistake of ignorance. If you feel nailed, I apologize. That
truly was not my intent. Thus far, other than being monotonous and
brick headed (just like me at times), you've been relatively nice; I
hope you can say the same about me, other than I have grown tired of
the back-and-forth going nowhere.l

I don't believe I insulted you, other than your over-sensitivity about
my correction. And at this point, I will let your insult slide. At
this point. But don't call me ignorant about Catholicism. I could
likely tell you LOTS that you believe. I just INTERPRET what you
believe VERY differently. And Roman Catholics have been taught to be
HIGHLY INTOLERANT of any interpretation BUT theirs.

Which only means that Satan can quote scripture better than either of
us.
And with your last two HUGE insults, I leave you.
There's nothing but more of your bs demonic insults below. I knew if I
pushed you hard enough, your demons would emerge.
So much for "reconciliation." You see Satan in me; vice versa.
I'll pray you find Him before you die and wake up VERY hot.

This is not true. Roman Catholics are *not* taught intolerance, and
Vatican II makes that especially clear!

You're right about that! That's not the purpose of it at all!

BTW, I believe in freedom of religion, and freedom of speech. And I
exercise both, including in here.
And if you don't like it, you are one of a long list of folk who I
invite to not read my posts.
I have noted with major amusement how many "Christians" in here have
stopped reading me and who only talk ugly ABOUT me these days because
I believe in the "priesthood" of the believer (we each have direct
access to God, and not through the goddess Mary or the god Pete)
Elaine, John H, Deacon, galia, Jim Agar...
All "Christians", all couched in their own "Ya gotta be like me"
apostasies. I reject that. I choose to be like Christ, not like men.

Good. We agree there.

Keep your accusations to yourself or don't expect an answer to further
statements.
An infant doesn't need to repent as I see it. Check my last statement.
The
issue isn't simple and there is much more to it. I believe that children
are
innocent until they grasp the difference between what is truly right and
wrong.
How can any infant understand what sin is or who Christ is? They can't
they
aren't capable yet. They must grow up a little and gain the ability to
know who
Jesus is and what He did for us. They need to know what sin is before
they are
guilty. This is also a short answer to this reply and there is more to
it.
Recall what Jesus said to the disciples about the little children who
wished to
go to Him.
Shalom,
Deacon

How did your son at age 3? How about you at age 5? What did you two need
to
repent of?

You know I can respect that some here have a different understanding of
Baptism than I do. I have to say though the people that believe in
Baptism
only when a person has the mental capacity to understand what they are
doing
are at least consistant. Do you even realize how silly you sound
condemning
other Baptismal practices when in other posts you tell us how a 3 year
old
accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior? I will tell you right now there is
no
3 year old that is mentally and spiritually able to do so. Furthermore a
3
year old or even a 5 year old like an infant has nothing to repent of,
even
if they do wrong they are not culpable because they don't know what sin
is
and how it affects our relation****p with God.
This isn't your topic Jon, Deacon started it and has moderated it and did
so
for a reason. He asked for everyone's viewpoint, he didn't ask you to
moderate it along with him and no one but you is looking to pick a fight.
Must you try to be the center of attention all the time?

Although I don't think I agree with all of your statements you certainly
see
why the question I raised was so significant.
I agree that all of these add up to correct doctrine, but I do not
believe
that grace only applies to action, but also to belief. In other words I
don't believe that we have to have every detail correct before Christ
accepts us, but as we both mentioned at different times, if you design
your
own Jesus then you are believing in the wrong one - and therefore are not
saved.
Although, just to pick on you in a good natured way. If all of these
things
are necessary for salvation then you should have listed them in your
original post to Deacons question. Instead you claimed a simple gospel,
quoted John 3, Romans 10 and said that covered. it. But if you believe
that
all these doctrines are necessary then you should have mentioned them.
(But
of course one of the problems us Baptists have is that we often have a
bigger set of rules to stay in than we have to enter in, something we
should

Now about that PC. LOL It does not stand for Politically Correct!
Actually it is a habit to sign certain letters with a title and a nick
name.
Not being sure I wanted to reveal my identity to a newsgroup I just put
the
initial of the title and the initial of the nickname. But if you are
really
curious I have occasionally slipped and spelled it out in this newsgroup.

Of course I responded to some others posts, but about that not having to
ask
thing.
You quote Romans 10:9-10 and mention the word confession. But who do you
confess to? Will telling me you want to be saved do the trick? No, you
confess to Christ, this is simply a Biblical way of stating what I mean
when
I say that you ask for salvation. This is clarified by verse 13 which
says
"Anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Calling
upon
the name of the Lord sounds to be like speaking with God about it in
prayer.

Cute. I just wish we wouldn't call each other "that." It is
demeaning.
As in, "I know a woman that..."
The correct word is, "I know a woman who..."
"that" is reserved for animals, plants, and inanimate objects (rocks,
chairs, TVs, computers)

Again, the pathological demoniac Ozzie/Phar Lap lies like the demon he
is. I NOWHERE EVER EVER said I approve of the KKK or am sympathetic
to ANYTHING they're doing.
Leave it to ozzie the demoniac, rather than smoothing things over, to

Ozzie, smooche, demoniac, you are truly pathetic.

As opposed to your example?? Frankly, I've not wondered about either
one of you, liars exist, you verify that by way of google & posts that
are saved once responded to by individuals. You've shown no purpose in
life except a willingness to be a drone, the world has plenty of
those.
Jim appears to:
A: Have a life that is rewarding to himself & others.
B: A steady source of income based on his marketable skills.
C: A wife & family that still like him enough to be still around.
D: Able to purchase the minor things in life that his family enjoys.
E: Able to manage his finances to the point he does not have to count
on government assistance, such as food stamps.
Myself I get by on $120. a month for food, & sometimes have enough
left over for a book. Books that I buy are not inexpensive, reference
books rarely are. I suspect Jim does better than that, don't really
care.
The point, you will be hard pressed to present yourself favorably
compared to anyone I know of posting from the arb group.

The above is a stretch, but I am blessed with mother who loves her
little jimmy poo, and has the wherewithal to keep her precious in toys,
and other needful things required of a socialite, even if not a Nobel

You can pu that make up brush back in your honey bucket, or quit
projecting. Whichever is easier on you.

So, you are saying that you lack the guts to do what you fantasise
about, so you project what you would like to do on others. No thanks,
I don't mind helping those that need my help through no fault of their
own.
IOW, I can & do help the people that you wish to harm according to the
fantasy you just posted.
BTW, quit beating your wife yet??
That is the same tactic you just tried on me, unlike you, I do not
have to think of things I would like to do to harm others that
disagree with me. If they are unable to back up their arguments, or in
your case lies, & they depart or quit lieing, ther is no problem.
If they demand the right to lie, I demand equal time.
Your call, shouldn't cost you but about $1,000 ED to find some one you
can call that will be willing to listen once they find out its you.

Actually, I think I probably coined the term "demonic". It means
simply "of demons." Which a person with a brain and some idea how to
use it could easily have figured out.
"Demon" simply means a fallen angel, an unclean spirit.
"Demoniac" simply means a person such as yourself who is possessed by
an unclean spirit, a "demon."
Does that help, oh mindless one?
And your filthy mouth in a Christian group is proof that you ARE a
demoniac.
But there IS deliverance; you need only ask.
jw
And the word Demon, is the
>same but with out a face.

So, is the audience to presume that given your clam, you are without a

Only in your mythology. AMOF, if you had the knowledge you pretend to
have, demons are gods. Granted they are minor gods, but gods for all
of that.
Demons are only automatically bad or evil in the xian mythology.
Even the early Israelite people didn't make your gross errors of
assumption, assuming they could speak for others.
Again, compliments of m-w.com

As opposed to your filthy mouth & habit of attempting to denigrate
others. As in any that dare to point out your absurdities.

Then why don't you. Dave Oldridge [?] has indicated he has the
training. After all, if he waves the magic wand & sprinkles you with
holy water, you might be able to read the KJV, a thing demons
supposedly can't do. Something about not being able to tolerate the
claimed word of god easily.
