Actually, that's not quite my point. When I say that they used the
word for maiden, it could also mean they meant young women, but
virginity is not neccessarily implied. For some reason, the original
writers did not use the word for virgin. They used the word for
maiden. The Greek is mistranslated, either on purpose or by accident.
Now you might say that the difference is pedantic. However, there is
quite a difference. In one, Mary was begotten with the seed of God.
In the other, where she is a maiden, there is a possiblity Jesus was
not literally the son of God. Now I don't think that the Hebrew
writers would have let something so im****tant open to debate, which is
why I believe they would have used the word for virgin if they had
meant virgin.
