Actually, John H, that's simply too convenient! I was talking about
YOU!

I didn't say what you said I said! I cracked a joke, which YOU chose
to take VERY literally, and then you FALSELY ACCUSED me (as usual)

The PRETENDING, stupid one, is that you are PRETENDING that you just
posted it "for the first time." You have posted it half-a-dozen times
thus far, and you keep acting like you've "finally proved something."

You mis-interpreted my words the first time you referred to this
post, and you're mis-representing them now!

As my field is the field of writing (language as a tool), I would
agree. Some truly beautiful stuff has been written, not the least of
it being the Psalms and the Proverbs (in the Old Testament of the
Bible)

>allowing them to express and share ideas, to debate and yes, to

I am not an uneducated person. And I never saw the place of
"ridicule" in a civilized world.

When those who claim to be "educated" reduce themselves to ridicule,
they leave the world a less civilized place for it.

Sometimes this collaboration actually results in them
>sharpening their thinking and getting smarter.

To disagree with some of the less rational aspects of "religion" and
philosophy-- a case in point that being how the Hindus in several
nations (India and Pakistan being two) STARVE to death, because they
refuse to kill and eat the plentiful animals-- is sad. But I wouldn't
ridicule a Hindu just because I see their beliefs as WRONG and
destructive.

  There are whole
>disciplines built on such collavoboration and criticism: the

Criticism, yes. "I do not believe in flying saucers, because..." is
one thing. "People who believe in flying saucers? What IDIOTS!" is
another.

You don't get to decide what's a loss for me. I would say that it's
a real loss for anyone to think they're beyond the reach of or need
for God just because they think they're "educated."

I've know a lot of highly educated men and women who were believers!

   "Your loss!"

At any rate, I didn't comment to start a debate with someone who will
likely never even acknowledge that my point has any validity.

I commented because I believe there's still a place for being civil
whether we can agree or not.

You haven't yet proved that belief is "naive."
  I'd say non-belief is naive, and self-destructive.

Particularly when the probability of God's existence is SO easy to
demonstrate!

If you believe in the possibility of extraterrestrial life, you
believe in the possibility that there's a Supreme Being, meaning that
YOUR issues are MORAL issues (you don't WANT to believe), rather than
an issue of intellect or of education!

Lie! America has a constitutional process. For the first time in
our history, the voting system didn't work; it failed. The next step
in the process WAS taken. The election went to the United States
Supreme Court, which was right and proper.

You don't know anything about our government, OBVIOUSLY, so you
should just

 SHUT UP!

The first GWB election proved that the system worked! I am BETTING
that if we'd gone through the EXACT same system, and ALGore had won,
you'd be "tickled that the system worked."

Grow up and SHUT up!

I think -- no matter what you believe-- I don't get why any person
who calls himself/ herself an adult needs to RIDICULE those who see
things differently or who believe different.

I don't get what would motivate anyone to refer to someone's God as
"Jayzus."

??? What kind of behavior is that? It's not ADULT behavior!

So much for the notion that everyone is tolerant!

You truly have NO THING to say to me that I wish to hear!

I continue to wonder why a PAGAN like you continues to troll in a
BAPTIST group.

I think you have lost your way, pagan!

I have replied to this nonsense SEVERAL times, Elaine.

You misunderstood the post, as you USUALLY do.

I did NOT mean what you falsely believe I meant, and when you said
what you said, I IMMEDIATELY corrected your PERVERSE
mis-interpretation.

You-- however-- yet AGAIN prefer to believe that YOU know better
what I mean than I do.

You CANNOT read minds, no matter how much you would LOVE for people
to think you can.

You REALLY need help, Elaine. You are NOT a mind-reader, and you
are NOT a psychic!

I MEANT that those who were going to reply, should so in prayer "To
The Holy Spirit."

Of COURSE you are going to reply, "That's NOT what you meant!"

You CAN NOT KNOW what I meant!

And to say you DO "KNOW WHAT I MEANT" indicates that you are
EXTREMELY mentally ill!!

This is ALSO like the 3rd or 4th time you have posted exactly this
same post within the past 24 hours or so!
How many times are you going to PRETEND that you "just found it?"
And how many times are you going to PRETEND that you are posting it
for the first time?

  "NONSENSE!"

  "enuf"

"Good point!" He will claim to know Satan, too!

  So which do you condemn?
Those who wor****p on Sunday, or those who wor****p on Saturday?
Which do you condemn, the vegetarians or the meat eaters?
Which do you condemn, those who insist that ONLY the KJV is valid
(which one)? Or do you condemn those who prefer the NIV/ The NASB? The
NLT?
Which do you condemn? Those who use grape juice in their Lord's
Table? Or those who use wine?

  They often condemn each other!

  Which would YOU condemn?

I'm a journalist, stupid person! I continue to think you're Elaine!

   "libel" is a lie.

And very little of what Elaine the Crazy says about me or anyone
