mayor who stood before the cameras begging and pleading for the Feds
to come in and bail his ass out, when all along he had the resources
to do it himself. Then he has the nerve to be pointing the finger of
blame at everyone even remotely connected to this, when it's quite
obvious he is the one who screwed up here....BIG TIME.
Whatever remains of New Orleans when election time comes around again,
I hope the people remember his bumbling and incompetence. He needs to
be removed from office. He should do the honorable thing and resign,
but that isn't going to happen. Not when there's billions of dollars
on the line.
**Update**: The Jawa Re****t has further thoughts on the Wizbang post.

Hey, Mark Bilbo! Dumbass!
It's always easier for you pathologial, arrested infantile
personalities to "blame the OTHER guy" (in Wa****ngton) than to place
blame on your local-- incompetent officials.
Now tell me that all these independent re****ters and journalists are
WRONG!

From MSNBC:
What went wrong in Katrina’s wake?
Many questions but few answers about the slow response on all levels
By Lisa Myers & the NBC Investigative Unit
NBC News
Lisa Meyers is Senior Investigative Correspondent
Updated: 5:59 p.m. PT Sept 6, 2005
WA****NGTON - Some 200 New Orleans school buses sit underwater in a
parking lot, unused. That's enough to have evacuated at least 13,000
people. Why weren’t those buses sent street by street to pick up
people before the storm?
[ 200 school buses sat in water in a parking lot, unused. Enough
buses to evacuate at LEAST 13,000 people! Why weren't they used?
Because the Mayor "didn't have authorization! or the key to the gate!"
]
A draft emergency plan, prepared by the Federal Emergency Management
Agency and obtained by NBC News, calls for "400 buses to ... evacuate
victims." Yet those 200 buses were left in Katrina's path.
"That's a real tragedy that these resources weren't employed," said
Greg Shaw, a disaster management expert at George Wa****ngton
University," because it would have been good to get those people out
of the city."

under the heading
Prevention and evacuation issues:
State and city evacuation plans ([10] Part 1 Section C and part II-2)
mention use of school buses for evacuation. With the following
language:
"The primary means of hurricane evacuation will be personal vehicles.
School and municipal buses, government-owned vehicles and vehicles
provided by volunteer agencies may be used to provide trans****tation
for individuals who lack trans****tation and require assistance in
evacuating."
--> Several hundred school buses were left parked on low ground where
they would be easily flooded with storm water and then later by the
levee flooding making their use impossible in the emergency
evacuation. It is not clear whether these buses were owned by the city
or by a private contractor to which the city had outsourced school bus
services. Mayor Nagin testified in his hearing in Wa****ngton that
those buses were owned by the school board and that he had no control
over them. The precise number of buses available has been cited
anywhere from a couple of hundred to a likely exaggerated 2,000 [11].

I said there are assisted living situations.
They INCLUDE:
low income
disabled
seniors
Section 8
Funny how you ZEROED in on "Section 8" and totally skipped the first
3!
Why?
(Never mind; I actually am not interested, beyond pointing out your
hatred and bigotry)
Oh! Almost forgot!
And when did my EXACT situation become YOUR business? You should be
less worried about every tiny detail of the lives of those you
DESPISE, and more concerned with YOUR business!

Christians are supposed to come to one another, explain our situations
(like in here), and ask for prayer.
YOU've done it!
you've been saying you have a

Fine! So "the way Jimmy is headed, someone is going to snuff him
before he turns 45."

Your misuse of the term offends me. So don't do things that offend
those whom you wish to call "brothers."
If you insist on doing things that I say offend me, don't presume to
call us "brothers."
It truly is that simple!

No, they are not! I can list you probably 2,000 churches without even
breathing hard, that do not acknowledge the Roman Catholic pope.
;-)
I certainly don't.
chosen by God.
No! he is chosen by a bunch of silly old retards in Rome who wear
funny dresses!
And, yes, I have only the worst possible CONTEMPT for the practice,
and for the old PERVERTS who "choose your pope."
He / and they usurp the rightful place of the Holy Spirit.
;-)
And MANY of the "decrees from the Vatican" are counter-Biblical!
(that means AGAINST the Holy Spirit)

No, but the ONLY way you can explain the apparent CONTRADICTION
between John 3 and John 4 is to disregard John 3!
I strive to HARMONIZE them! He did baptize; not everybody who
"re****ted in" saw Him baptize.
However, that view presents YOU a MAJOR problem!
"He BAPTIZED," that is, He IMMERSED BELIEVERS IN WATER!
HORRORS!
YOU SIMPLY CANNOT HAVE VERSES THAT SAY ' HE BAPTIZED' ANYONE!
So YOU simply toss THOSE verses in the GARBAGE!
" Well, John 3 says He did! John 4 says He didn't!"
You're gonna go with John 4! ;-)
Why am I not surprised?
(You're a Roman Catholic!)
--- INSTEAD-- I HARMONIZE them!
;-)
Nor do you need refer me to the Adventists!

Did I mention the virgin birth as a teaching on which there could be
diversity?
I did not! Which means you CONTINUE to not understand "core teaching"
(virgin birth) from differences over which day we should wor****p!
For you, there are 500 teachings that I would call "diversity"
teachings that you would call "core" teachings.
There simply is not FREEDOM of conscience in your religion. Which is
why I would never ever ever be a part of your religion. It forbids
individuality and thought.
Yes, sure, let them be convinced, but one way is
>right, and the other is wrong.
So, according to your rigid view, which is the correct Bible?
According to your rigid view, what is the correct style of seating in
church?
According to you, which is the correct type of wood to be used for
the pulpit?

I have defined "non-essentials" MANY times, but in your atrophied
(Roman Catholicized) brain, you just don't get it.
That means-- for you-- any teaching-- ANYTHING-- that comes out of
Rome, is a "core teaching."
If the Roman Catholic Church ordered you to begin drinking your urine
tomorrow, you would. If it comes out of the Vatican, it's "core
teaching."
You are not allowed to think for yourself!
The Bible says "be transformed by the renewing of your mind."
You demonstrate no mind.

Here we go again! I've discussed this REPEATEDLY, and yet you STILL
can't wrap your head around it! After I've discussed it from 50
different angles, it remains a complete MYSTERY to you!
Why is that?
Even if you disagreed, you SHOULD be able to understand it! Yet your
continued questions about the "priesthood of the believer" (Let each
of you make up his own mind) indicate you just don't get it!
>
>> the Roman
>> Catholic FLATLY rejects, placing that authority in the VATICAN,

You don't know the first thing about "historical Christianity" (the
New Testament kind).
>

>If it were a core teaching of Christianity, that would be problematic.
smirk.
It's in the Bible, genius! That makes it a "core teaching" by
do***entary evidence. That you don't see it there is NOT the fault of
the Bible, since millions of Christians all over the world, can open
their Bibles to the same exact passage and show it to you, yet YOU
can't understand it!
But
>since it's not, but rather a common teaching held by the minority, and a
>teaching that is 500 years old at most, it's not a problem.
There truly is no point in a Baptist born again Christian "debating
this" with a Roman Catholic who REFUSES to even be immersion baptized
as a believer!

I'm personally hoping that your new girlfriend is 7 feet tall, 4 feet
