Saint Thomas the Divine on the Basic Differences Between Winners and
Losers
This is likely the most im****tant pastoral letter I will ever write.
It concerns life.
G-d is just life; therefore, follow life and you will have peace.
Life is in the opposite direction of drugs, prostitution and sin; it
is in the direction of the holy, which is why for the most part you
need to follow the Jews. The street is about nothing but sin,
debauchery and exploitation; it's the biggest no win game in life;
there's nothing on them but losers. Winners, if they aren't at home
doing homework or practicing some kind of art like music or studying
the Bible, are at the local library reading everything they can get
their blessed hands on or out camping with their local Boy or Girl
Scout troop or at Church or Temple wor****ping the living G-d and are
on some kind of athletic team somewhere. Winners also dress a certain
way; if you wore a jacket, tie and slacks through grammar school and
high school, be sure to do the same in college and graduate school.
Inconsistency in this regard will wreck you. Winners thrive on
challenge; the main difference between them and losers is that they
do, and they challenge themselves in three principle ways: mentally,
physically and spiritually. Losers are the kind of folk that always
seek the easy way out of a situation; they are lazy and don't like to
work hard and long for anything worthwhile; they don't love or value
knowledge which is why they don't seek it; they don't go to college;
all losers care about is money; they can't get enough of it and will
sell their souls for it. While winners do tend to have a good deal of
money, to the bigger of them it doesn't matter more than the Law of G-
d or people or love or knowledge or excellence and craftsman****p or
real talent; winners care, and these type of people want to see
everybody succeed at what really matters and will do their damndest to
make sure that you do. Losers are only concerned about their own
happiness; as long as they are, everything is fine; that people are
struggling or hurting anywhere doesn't matter to them at all which is
why they never call or write or come over with the kids. Losers take
to many foolish chances to often - they are rash; winners on the
other hand sometimes take well calculated risks - they reason
probabilistically as all great prophets do; this is why I always send
my resume when I'm trying to make some kind of point about myself
since winners do sometimes lose; when they do, however, there is
always a very good explanation. Winners make winners and losers make
losers. Winners enter every kind of contest they can as young people
and even as old ones because they know that this is how to grow and
stay strong. Never stop learning, never stop growing, never stop
challenging yourselves to do more and to be more. Winners also never
tell even the smallest lie to anyone about anything, for they are wise
enough to know that if they tell them, they will eventually wind up
living them; to the bad they simply say "straighten up" and to the
good they say "keep up the good work"; they instead rely on prayer to
get what they need and want in life, even in war. The spiritual
challenge is simply the challenge not to sin in any way - to honor J-
sus, Moses, your father and your mother, respectively, and to avoid
temptation. Spirituality is about what's im****tant to the actual G-d
of creation - the Holy One of Israel - not about what matters to any
of us. To be spiritual you must forget about you and concern yourself
only with what J-sus wants; you must decrease while He increases.
"What, "you may ask, "is the payoff in any of that?" The payoff is
peace believe it or not - your own! Satan will challenge you greatly
of course; your life will be full of blasphemy for a long time but
because you are relying on Christ and not yourself you will win the
kind of peace that really lasts and that no one and nothing will ever
be able to take away. Sinners are losers; I came down here to show
them that. While winners do kill, they never do so unless absolutely
necessary; they won't hurt you if you repent. A winner is simply
someone who listens to J-sus and wants to be everything He called
great in the gospels; this is why I am also a Jew. You need to find
and stay in a good Bible based church, for life is in the direction of
the meek, not the proud - the direction of men and women that are
about peace, love, friend****p, honor, knowledge, justice and holiness.
And what, pray tell, is the value of holiness? The value of holiness,
my friends, is that it leads to power, priviledge, money, and peace
of mind - most of the stuff people are after down here on good old
terra firma. Just look at the kind of people that have these things
and you will probably notice the general pattern; as the saying went:
Every good boy and girl did just fine! If you obey every word out of
my mouth, you will be holy and will have at least a fighting chance at
lasting peace; this is all I, the king, want for you! Religion was no
joke, man; in fact, it is and always will be the most im****tant thing
in life. Blessed were those who took it seriously, especially the
Gospels! Remember that money is not the true foundation of happiness;
it's true love that is. If you take away all the folk and leave just
the stuff, you've basically got nothing that can bring you joy -
assuming you are sane. Some folk - like my mother - later on will look
at the money I make and not remember the love - the real concern for
everyone around - that was the foundation of its making; don't let
this be you! If someone makes you unhappy, leave them by themselves.
Now if you are a parent from the ghetto, never forget what you will
always owe me for this; if you ever have the nerve to march a gorgeous
Black girl out of my life again, you will be one unhappy camper! And
don't ever have the nerve to put a pink ****rt on a king ever again up
there.
