The pulpits of most churches are filled with sincere but thoroughly
deceived teachers who were never sent by God. The Apostle John taught
a concept that the church leaders of today refuse to accept. That is:
BORN-AGAIN CHRISTIANS DO NOT COMMIT SIN!
That is not an opinion, it comes straight from the Bible. Listen to
what the man who walked with Jesus had to say:
"HE THAT COMMITTETH SIN IS OF THE DEVIL!"
1 John 3:8
"WHOSOEVER IS BORN OF GOD
DOTH NOT COMMIT SIN!"
1 John 3:9
Let me say it plainly:
Those who are deliberately disobeying ANY of God's
Ten Commandments are not Born-Again Christians.
They could not possibly be born-again because John said: "Whosoever is
born of God doth not commit sin." The moment a true Christian
understands that something is sin, he stops doing it; forever! If he
is not able to stop, then he may be sure that God's Holy Spirit does
not dwell in him. That is what the Apostle Paul meant when he said:
"If by the Spirit
you *put to death* the deeds of the body,
YOU WILL LIVE."
Romans 8:13
However, most theologians of today say that you can still have eternal
life even if you do not "put to death the deeds of the body." We are
all aware of scandalous TV preachers who claim to be sent by God.
They are typical of what p***** for Christianity today. They come in
the name of Christ, they teach from the Holy Scriptures, they do many
good deeds, and they BREAK GOD'S COMMANDMENTS! Well, the Apostle John
calls them
"liars!" He said:
"He that saith, I know Him, and
keepeth not His commandments, is a LIAR,
and the truth is NOT in him."
1 John 2:4
It is my opinion that most of those preachers, and almost every other
church leader would soon be looking for a job if they insisted that
their flock must cease from all willful sin. I challenge all so-called
ministers of the Gospel to stand up in their pulpits arm-in-arm with
the Apostle John, point their finger at the congregation and say:
"HE THAT COMMITTETH SIN IS OF THE DEVIL!"
If they will not, I ask "Why not?" John Did!
Friend, if you call Jesus Lord, please listen to what He said to the
man who asked Him this question: "What must I do to inherit eternal
life?" Jesus replied:
"If thou wilt enter into life,
KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS."
Matthew 19:17
Did the Son of God lie to that man? I think not! Now the question
is: "Do you keep His Commandments?" ...How about this one:
"Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy ...
the SEVENTH DAY is the Sabbath of the Lord thy
God: in it thou shalt not do any work."
Exodus 20:8-10
The Devil hates the Sabbath because it honors the Creator who rested
on the seventh day. Have you ever wondered why people get so angry
when someone says: "Keep the
Sabbath?" To obey the fourth commandment takes total faith in God.
Many who do will lose their jobs, their friends, perhaps even the love
of their families. That is why Jesus said:
"...narrow is the way,
which LEADETH UNTO LIFE,
and FEW there be that find it."
Matthew 7:14
LOOK and compare that verse with this one:
"If thou wilt ENTER INTO LIFE,
keep the commandments."
Matthew 19:17
Could it be any clearer? The narrow way that leads to life is to keep
the Commandments of God.
HAVE YOU FOUND THAT NARROW WAY?
Before you may "enter life" your faith in God must first be tested and
approved. (See James 1:12.) The test is obedience to God's law.
Those who have a true saving faith
will obey God's law, no matter what it costs them. But, please
remember there are TEN COMMANDMENTS --not nine! The Sabbath has never
been revoked.
If you refuse to obey ANY of God's Commandments, you are in rebellion
to God's authority and will be destroyed on Judgement Day. On the
other hand, if you choose to obey, then you cannot fail because God
promises to give the spiritual strength to obey His Law through The
Holy Spirit.
If you have a sincere desire to obey God, but are not sure about the
Sabbath, just ask God to show you the truth from His Holy Scriptures.
But, please, please, don't ask someone who is breaking God's Sabbath
if you should keep it!
