Donna,
Jesus and the apostles didn't need to say anything about returning to the
diet of Eden because in their dispensation, it was NOT a sin to eat meat.
Jesus is the WORD of God so therefore it is he who spoke through out the
bible in the old and new testament and said;
Genesis 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing
seed, which [is] upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the
which [is] the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat
[FOOD].
1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, [it was]
VERY GOOD.
Well, look at that, in Eden, the diet God created for man was FRUITARIAN
and
it was, VERY GOOD. Nothing wrong with it. Meat was NOT in Gods original
plan for mankind. Think what was his master plan in the beginning. No
meat
prescribed at that time. In Eden, everything was PERFECT. Why are you
keeping the Sabbath? You're a repairer of the BREACH a restorer of paths
to
dwell in unlike the majority of Christians today who keep Sunday. Sabbath
keepers are to restore the institutions of Eden, the Sabbath, Marriage and
the diet because;
Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and
ask
for the old paths, where [is] the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall
find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk [therein].
ISAIAH 58:12 And [they that shall be] of thee shall build the old waste
places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou
shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to
dwell
in.
58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, [from] doing thy
pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the
LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor
finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking [thine own] words:
58:14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause
thee
to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage
of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken [it].
We are to repair the breach. Seek the old ways and go back to them as
quoted above. In the time of the apostles, God was allowing man to live
his
PERMISSIVE will in regard to diet, but is now;
Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now
commandeth all men every where to REPENT:
God has a perfect and permissive will. Think of it this way, his
permissive
will is the LONG way home.... If you want the long way home, then go for
it Donna.
Who knows if Jesus ate meat or fish? Although it says;
Luke 24:42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an
honeycomb.
24:43 And he took [it], and did eat before them.
He took IT - singular, it was probably the honey because;
Isaiah 7:15 Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse
the evil, and choose the good [HONEY MOST LIKELY].
You can't prove that Jesus ATE fish. Even if he did, as I said before, it
wasn't a sin in that time because it wasn't the anti-typical day of
atonement. In succeeding ages, Gods children kept Sunday as the day of
rest
because it wasn't always a test as it is NOW. We are living in the time
of
the INVESTIGATIVE judgement and we are to EAT FOR STRENGTH and not for
gluttony;
Eccl 10:17 Blessed [art] thou, O land, when thy king [is] the son of
nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for
drunkenness!
Who are these nobles and priests?
Rev 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to
him [be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall
reign on the earth.
1 Peter 2:9 But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an
holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of
him
who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
FOR STRENGTH AND NOT FOR PLEASURE! we are not to eat something if it
tastes
good only but for strength. meat is proven to be debilitating to
health....
etc....
