Bodhisattva Hachiman protected the sovereign and his subjects instead
of disciplining them for their hatred of the votary of the Lotus
Sutra. Bonten, Taishaku and the other guardian deities of True
Buddhism probably punished him for that offense. This is extremely
im****tant and must be kept in the strictest confidence...You must
understand that the Great Bodhisattva Hachiman is also sustained by
the power of the True Law, which he uses to guard over the affairs of
the mundane world.
