Martin Willett is English, an atheist and intelligent.
Michael Rippie is American, a weirdo who bad-mouths Christians and
claims to be in direct contact with Jesus and is obsessed with
"spirits". Rippie also puts superfluous spaces between each sentence
in a paragraph, I do not.
The real Martin Willett has never passed himself off as anybody else
while on the internet, ever.

The University of Berlin provides an excellent fast newsgroup service
for free with no adverts placed on the posts made. That is why I use
it, because the service from ntl is crap, as far as newsgroup access
goes, it's slow and subject to breakdowns. Rippie has used the
University of Berlin service (on my recommendation apparently, as he
has also used Opera on my recommendation) but he has been kicked off
the service for misusing email addresses that belong to me.

Michael makes out that he has magic powers and can do wonderful
things. He just doesn't actually do any of them when anybody's
watching because that might make his invisible friend cross. He has
regularly challenged me to tell me what time my watch says as if he's
going to do some wonderful magic trick, but he never actually does it.
He claims he has visited me in spirit on several occassions and given
me a slap.
He claims Jesus visited him when he was 6, and he's been living in the
Mind of Christ ever since.
He regularly quotes the words of Jesus as dictated to him, Michael the
Prophet of the Last Church.
He claims he was born in 1946 (to the US government Copyright office
when he claimed to have written a poem which is a verse taken from a
song in The Sound of Music).

the copyright application he makes in 1985 he claims he wrote it in
1962.
In 1962 Rippie would be sixteen, going on seventeen...
He also claims to have been in the military in 1946, although he
doesn't say which country.
He sometimes claims he is Dannan DeCrete, a nonagenarian native
American from a local tribe, who was also born in Texas and is old
enough to be Michael's grandfather.
Confused? Somebody is.
