All aspects of the Law Code and covenants are fulfilled by Jesus in some
way. He fulfills the Law. Some of this is directly stated, such as Jesus
being the passover lamb. But essentially he fulfills all the sacrifices.
The Day of Atonement is also a clear reference to when Christ takes his
body
up to heaven and offers it in sacrifice for the sins of mankind. But
there
is more symbolism. What can we get from the details of the Festival of
Booths in relation to Christ as the messiah?
TIME OF APPEARANCE: For one thing, since we know that Christ's ministry
was
3-1/2 years, fulfilling another pattern of the half week, in this case,
half of the 70th week, it would represent the specific month or time of
the
year the messiah must appear to begin his ministry. Why do we know this?
Because the Passover festival in the spring celebrates the time of his
sacrifice. It is six months apart from the Festival of Booths. The
Passover Festival occurs during the first month of the year, the FOB the
seventh month. So they bookend the 3-1/2 years of Jesus' ministry.
Jesus
thus begins his ministry during the Festival of Booths and ends it during
Passover week.
So the FOB and Passover Week basically reflect those very generic times
when
Christ would begin and end his ministry.
But because the Jews used a lunisolar pattern, which introduces an
intercalary month about every 3 years, the actual number of months are
reflected in Jesus' ministry as 43 months and not 42 months. In the
Bible
this is the alternative reference to the 1290 days vs the usual 1260 days
for a "time, times and half time." From the more specific reference of
the 1290 days, we are able to establish the 1335 days, which reflects
PENTECOST.
That is, Pentecost is 50 days from the 15th and 45 days from the 20th. If
you follow the gospels closely, Jesus dies on Nisan 20th just before a
double-sabbath weekend, allowing him to be in the grave for "three
nights."
Thus his ministry, beginning near the end of the the Festival of Booths
and
ending near the end of Passover Week, specifically on the 20th of Nisan,
means that when he sends holy spirit on Pentecost, it fulfills the 1335
days
in relation to the 1290 days of Jesus' ministry.
WHY BOOTHS OUTSIDE THE HOUSE? Good question! Obviously, the formal house
would represent the temple, the formal wor****p arrangement for the Jews.
Jesus being born in a booth, which is a make****ft shelter for the animals,
confirms that he would not be part of the formal temple arrangement. That
is, the Christ wouldn't say be the current high priest who becomes the
messiah or anything. Instead, he would do his things off to the side,
somewhat unofficially. Thus God would provide the messiah but would not
incor****ate him through the formal system.
MODERN DAY APPLICATION: Obviously, since the "1335 days" fulfills the
second coming year per Daniel 12, we would look at what kind of details
might apply to the time of the second coming. The basic things.
What immediately comes into reference is the time of Jesus' death,
resurrection, 40 years of appearances before his ascension and then the
arrival of holy spirit.
Since we can compare this specifically to the actual timeline it would
unfold like this in half-year application.
That is, if we count a "day" and a "night" as six months, and round that
off
to FALL/SPRING, then 3 days and three nights beginning in the Fall of 1947
would end in the spring summer of 1950.
So generally speaking, the resurrection of Jesus Christ would be
associated
with the birth of the new messiah, which would be by the spring/summer of
1950.
40 YEARS/40 DAYS: The 40 days of Jesus' presence before his ascension
would
represent the 40 years of the testing of the modern-day messiah. This
testing would be over by the time the 70th week begins which then
recognizes
the messiah entering the 70th week, the middle of which he would actually
become combined with the Jesus Christ in heaven and thus Christ in heaven
becomes manifested in the flesh again through this chosen one born in
1950.
PENTECOST would represent the precise time in the middle of the 70th week
when the Christ in Heaven would actually take up the body of the
PRE-MESSIAH.
Thus, when we determine based upon 36 CE, which ends the 70th week of the
1st coming, that 1989-1996 ends the 70th week in our time, then 1992-1993
falls during the middle of that week, the time when the messiah would
fulfill the "end of gift and sacrifice" which means when he arrives and
eats
the last Lord's Supper in remembrance of himself, he ends that ritual.
Thus in the 49-year Jubilee period where 1949-1996 is 49 years, 45 years
falls at the beginning of the mid-70th week.
In other words, if you have 49 years, which makes up 7 weeks. The end of
7
weeks is 42 years. The 7th week would be years 42-49. So 3 years into
that
would give you 45.
Thus when the 1290 days end in 1947 and we add 45 years, it puts us into
the
middle of the 70th week, which Jesus fulfills when he takes up the body
and
identity of the PRE-MESSIAH, an individual chosen from his followers to
become his second identity at the second coming, so that he experiences
being an ordinary, sinful man at the second coming. The first time, he
was
a perfect man, so did not know personally what it was like to have illness
or the genetic defect issues going on with the imperfect children of Adam,
etc.
SUMMARY: In summary, the pattern of the 1290 days and 1335 days, simply
reflect in modern times the basic fulfillment of the second coming where
approximately 3 years after Jesus' death, he is resurrected, then appears
for about 40 years before his ascension, after which in 3 days he sends
holy
spirit. That simply parallels the end of the gentile times for the Jews
in
1947, then the birth of the new pre-messiah 3 years later in 1950, then
his
trial as the "prodigal son" for 40 years before he becomes acceptable
again
as the messiah at the beginning of the 70th week. Thus the beginning of
the 70th week is when Christ ascends up into heaven. When Holy Spirit is
sent three days later, it represents Christ himself coming down to earth
again to be human, and it is the time when he takes up the body and
identity
of the premessiah, the prodigal son person who becomes the messiah at the
second person.
Likewise, in the case of the festival of booths, this new messiah is not a
formal fixture in the temple, but just an ordinary member. In the case of
the second coming, the "temple" organization or the house of God under the
Christian covenant is linked to the sect known as "Jehovah's witnesses";
thus the messiah would come through this organization, but would not be
one
of their elders or leaders. He would be a loosely associated member, like
a
booth is a make-****ft shelter near the house where the domestic animals
dwell, but not a formal part of the house. So again, another parallel.
That's why in Revelation we see Jesus has one foot on the sand,
representing
Jehovah's witness organization and one foot in the sea, showing his
position
is not completely connected with the JW organization. That is, he's half
in and half out with respect to this organization. He's associated with
it
but not a formal member in any kind of a leader****p role.
Okay, that's enough now for all you Bible students to digest for this
morning. I'll be giving a pop quiz on all this information later in the
week, so I hope you get this down and take notes.
(smile--just kidding!)
PAUL' COMPLAINT: You know Paul complained about some of the Christians
who
had become lazy spiritually. They never advanced to the meatier truths,
but
maintained only those doctrines that were fundamental, like milk. Thus
when
it came time for him to explain some of the meatier things, they choked on
it, because they had not advanced. Well, I know some will "choke" on this
"meat" of the second coming and FOB, but TIME IS RUNNING OUT. There is no
more time for handholding. It's time to ADVANCE in understanding of these
deeper things. Some of you are ready and others are not. So this is
primarily for the ready who are "awake."
