Judgement/God's people have everlasting life:
For the Son of Man will come in the glory of his Father with his angels,
and then he will render to everyone according to his deeds. Most
assuredly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way
taste of death, until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom."
(Matthew 16:27-28)
No death for God's people:
I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness,
and they died. This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, that
anyone may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread which came down
out of heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. Yes,
the bread which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh."
(John 6:48-51)
Death has lost its sting:
But when this corruptible will have put on incorruption, and this mortal
will have put on immortality, then what is written will happen: "Death
is swallowed up in victory." "Death, where is your sting? Hades, where
is your victory?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the
law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord
Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:54-57)
End time prophecy in Daniel's book/the promise of everlasting life in
the OT:
"At that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who stands for
the children of your people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such
as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at
that time your people shall be delivered, everyone who shall be found
written in the book. Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth
shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting
contempt. Those who are wise shall ****ne as the brightness of the
expanse; and those who turn many to righteousness as the stars forever
and ever. (Daniel 12:1-3)
However:
"Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way
that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it. How
narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few
are those who find it. "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in
sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. (Matthew 7:13-15)
And yet:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that
whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For
God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the
world should be saved through him. He who believes in him is not judged.
He who doesn't believe has been judged already, because he has not
believed in the name of the only born Son of God. (John 3:16-18)
No judgement, no death for God's people...
So let us believe in the name of the only born Son of God. It is easy!
As many as I love, I reprove and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and
repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice
and opens the door, then I will come in to him, and will dine with him,
and he with me. He who overcomes, I will give to him to sit down with me
on my throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father on his
throne. (Revelation 3:19-21)
And that was Jesus speaking... Just open the door for Him.
