Lucifer screeching: "I shall exalt myself above the highest heaven and
all creation shall bow down before me" may "sound reasonable" to you, but
to
most everyone else, he appears to be suffering from terminal hubris. But
then both of you might as well echo the fellow who said: It takes all
kinds
to make a world, I'm just glad I'm not one of them.

I think you got the wrong fellow. Adam wasn't "cast to earth" but
Lucifer was, because of his insufferable and humourless pride.
