I have been defining it through examples.

To think that we need to agree on
the definitions of all the words used
is a good example of flat reasoning.
Because you have flatten the multiple perspectives
involved in defining a term,
you failed to realize that the defining terms
need to be defined as well.
You also completely forgot about
the "speech act" nature of language.
I can go on with several more perspectives
"flattened" by you without even realizing it.

But, now is not the time to do philosophy of language.
We will get to that after we agree
to talk about God in a more civilized manner.
