What does hinder the Antichrist to appear?
Discussions have occurred about what Paul writes in 2 Thess.
2:6-7. (NIV) "And now you know what is holding him back,
so that he may be revealed at the proper time. For the secret
power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now
holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the
way."
What is the restrainer? What is it that must be taken out of the
way before the Antichrist comes? The Antichrist is also named
'the man of Lawlessness' and 'the Lawless one'. What is it that
must be taken out of the way before a lawless ruler can deceive
and seduce the whole world? He will awake the admiration of
people so that they will wor****p him.
The only reliable and tenable explanation is that the Law must
be the restrainer. The law must be taken out of the way. It is the
law and rules used to maintain the order and to combat criminality.
Else the Antichrist at once would be exposed as the worst
lawbreaker. Then he could not deceive the whole world. Therefore,
all national laws must be abolished.
This is taking place right now! The laws of the European Union
stand over the laws of the difference nations, and EU will also
demand their economy. EU's laws will be subordinated to the
Antichrist, and he can manipulate them as he wants. Of course,
the United Nations will also be subordinated to the Antichrist.
When the laws of the nations are abolished, none can accuse the
Antichrist of being a lawbreaker.
The law hinders the lawlessness to take overhand, but when the
law is abolished, then the Lawless one can appear. And he shall
speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the
saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and
they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the
dividing of time. But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take
away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.
Daniel 7:25.
In some bible translations they use the word "he" instead of "it",
in 2 Thess. 2:7. At a translation, rendering the ground text plain
is essential, but it is also essential that the reader understands
what the ground text in the reality says. Therefore, the translator
must follow the grammatical rules that are valid in the language
to which he translates. In English we cannot use the word "he"
as a pronoun about the law, (but it is possible in Greek), for then
the readers do not understand what means. The Greek word that
means "he" must be translated to "it" in English. In the Greek
language, the law stand as the masculine gender.
Here the translators have made an error when they made the
English translations. Therefore, people do not understand what
means in 2 Thess. 2:6-7.
"For already the secret power of wickedness is at work, secret
only for the present until the Restrainer disappears from the
scene." (The New English Bible). Here, in the New English
Bible, they have avoided using the word 'he' for the Restrainer.
In the Swedish Bible it is no 'he' (han) in verse 7. "...allenast
måste den som ännu håller tillbaka..." 'den' is 'it' in English.
