Asherah worship started soon after the expulsion of Adam and Eve from
the Garden of Eden... Eve herself being the progenitor of this cultic
practice when she obliged that old serpent the Devil in the Garden
when she took the fruit from the Tree because she wanted to be
' wise ' like God...

this quote succinctly describes the heart of Eve as she pondered the
benefits of eating from the forbidden tree... " a tree desirable to
make one wise ".
since that moment the accumulative history of man is well described by
the Apostle Paul when he wrote, by inspiration of the Holy Spirit...
" Greeks seek after wisdom " 1 Cor. 1:22... meaning, Gentiles.
it is this ' knowing ' of something better than the mere entreaties of
Jesus to " come, follow Me " that drive man to seek a path other than
that demanded by our Holy God of revelation. man instead seeks the
knowledge and wisdom offered by the Devil... " you shall be like God
knowing good and evil " Gen. 3:5
the God of revelation it not necessary since knowledge and wisdom are
to be found in self as one ponders the world around him. readings
from the ancient philosophers are yet another source from which to
gain knowledge as well as proclamations from modern day Gnostics.
these pervert the words of Jesus who said... " the kingdom of God is
within you " Lu. 17:21 and thus you need only to search your own way
into yourself to find the kingdom of God.
this persuit of Gnosticism as taught by the Devil, that Deceiver and
perverter of Gods Word, as it relates to the Virgin Mary, has shown up
throughtout history in that man has even ascribed to the Virgin Mary
what was the work of the Lord Jesus Christ in speaking to Moses from

Eternal God is replaced by mere created beings and man made things...
such as the Sphinx; the Totem Pole; the High Places of Asherah where
the Israelites worshiped the ' Queen of Heaven '

today, the Virgin Mary, in her circle of worshipers, has been given
many honorific titles. one of which is ' the Queen of Heaven '...
sound familiar ? the Old Testament Israelites worshipped in the same
way and with the same fervor as do the worshippers of Asherah do
today...
" But we will do everything that we have vowed, burn incense to the
queen of heaven and pour out libations to her, as we did, both we and
our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in
the streets of Jerusalem; for then we had plenty of food, and
prospered, and saw no evil. " Jer 44:17
no one can deny that the RC Catechism instructs its adherents to
worship the Virgin Mary... even to the point of naming her
Co-Redeemer. not to do so brings about adversity...
" But since we left off burning incense to the queen of heaven and
pouring out libations to her, we have lacked everything and have been
consumed by the sword and by famine." Jer. 44:18
this is Gnosticism's almost finest hour. groomed by centuries of
devotion to the Queen of Heaven the slaves of Lucifer will blindly
follow their god to the Lake of Fire all the while thinking they are
serving our One True God of revelation.
these have become ' wise ' without God.
