salvation is not available to all Ro. 9:16,18 1 Pet. 2:8
Lu. 8:4-15 because Christ did not die for all Jo. 3:16 Jo.17:9 but
wonderfully, salvation is available to the elect Jo. 17:9 Acts 13:48
we don't know who the elect are until they are given faith and bring
forth fruits befitting repentance 1 Jo. 3:10... such as sound doctrine
1 Jo.4:6
salvation is of the Lord Ps. 3:8 and not by the will of man Jo. 1:13
man is not saved by some mythical act of positive volition towards
Christ since man is not saved by the will of man, nor the will of the
flesh Jo.1:13 but by God alone without any choosing Jo.15:16
Eph. 2:5 on the part of man since his will is not at all ' free ' but
is bound by Satan, sin and death. 1 Cor. 15:22 1 Jo. 5:19
while yet fetuses Jacob, David, Jeremiah and John the Baptist did not
make a ' choice ' to be saved but were caused to be saved because
salvation is of the Lord... not of choice lest man should boast. and
this happened without these fetuses keeping the Law.
there was no ' free will ' in the matter of salvation of these four
since they were regenerated before coming forth from the womb...
salvation is as the Bible says ... ' and as many as were appointed to
eternal life, believed ' Acts 13:18
God gets the glory... not man.
all those who can not ' choose ' to trust in Christ... those who are
born gravely mentally impaired for example, have no way in which to be
saved by the social gospel of ' making a decision for Christ '. it no
where in the Scriptures says these are automatically saved because of
mental inability.
neither can an adult who suffered a mentally impairing accident be
saved by ' choosing '... the social gospel addresses only the smart.
when God does the saving, because it is simply His good pleasure, the
elect, whosoever they are, are always saved and kept. Eph 1:4 ff
Acts 13:48
this rubs the flesh the wrong way of those who prefer their own social
gospel, but the Word of God does that, doesn't it ?
