God gave them free choice plus the brains and intellectual ability to make

personal decisions. What did he expect them to do with all that?
If he doesn't like people making their own choices then why give it to
them?
And what else are you supposed to do with fruit?  Look at it?
The story is so silly.

All they did was they got deceived by a sly serpent.
There is no law against being deceived.
Unless you are psychic or all knowing there is always a chance that you
can 
get deceived.
There is no scriptural evidence of any malevolence on the part of A&E.
The bible god whoever it was was simply tyrannical.
