Not true. He warns them that they will die if they eat from the
tree before they ever do so (spiritual death which leads to
physical death). What do they do? They disobey Him and eat from
it anyway. Their spiritually dead condition p***** on to their
offspring along with their sin nature.
If a guy walked up to you and said "don't eat the fruit from that
tree - you'll get sick", what are you going to do? Eat from it
and then call _that guy_ stupid? Call _that guy_ stupid because
that sickness passed onto his children?

He is a holy, righteous God. He would be a corrupt judge to just
let those who break His Law off the hook.
Do you expect to show up in court, and when the judge shows you
how guilty you are for the crimes you've committed your whole
life, say "Judge, your wrath is callous and stupid. I demand you
prove how good you are by letting me go right now in spite of the
fact I'm a self-fish, arrogant person who's clearly broken the
law, mocked your attempts to have my punishment paid for me so
that you could let me go"? No, the judge will response "You are
right about one thing: I am a good person, and _because_ I am a
good person I'm going to see that justice is done. For your
entire life I gave you a way to see that justice was done - by
repenting from breaking the law before you ever got in my
courtroom, so that your crimes could be forgiven, and what did
you do? Run around telling everyone how "callous and stupid" I
am, and these laws of mine are, for your entire life. And now
here you are, and justice will be done, since you refused justice
to be done when I tried to get your fine paid for you and you
flat out refused."
: It seems that with the Christian God, love is not always the most
powerful

God loves us and doesn't want to bring us to justice. But being a
holy, righteous God and Judge, He has no choice if _you refuse_
to allow the punishment for your sins to be taken for you by
Jesus Christ and refuse to repent and accept Jesus as your Lord
and savior.
God would be corrupt if he just let all liars, idolaters,
fornicators, adulterers, murderers (in thought, not just in deed)
into heaven. Unfortunately, the real problem is many people want
to be as wicked as they want, reject God as much as they want,
and still get to heaven. To do this, you continue to judge Him in
spite of the clear fact the real problem is they have and
continue to break His Law, and refuse to repent and accept
Christ's amazing sacrifice on the cross.
You want to talk about the most powerful force in the universe:
While we were yet sinners, mocking and rejecting God and breaking
His Law, Christ died for us anyway. You have only to repent (be
sorry for your sins, and turn away from your sins) and then
accept Christ as your Lord and savior, and you'll be saved.
Have you repented for your sins?
Have you accepted Christ as your Lord and savior?
If not, why refuse to accept His forgiveness and continue to
judge and mock Him? Do you think judging Him and mocking Him will
get him to look past your sins on your day of judgment?
